This piece represents the never-ending process of evolving, growing, and changing in my artistic practice and in myself as an individual. I create art to find a deeper understanding of myself and the world. I can break down ideas to their core and explore their connection threads through art. In this piece, I explore deconstruction and reconstruction using both the materials I used and the imagery. To create this piece, I experimented with processes that break the materials down to their base elements and then reformed them, letting the naturally occurring shapes and textures guide the final look of the piece. Each piece of fabric and yarn was dyed by hand using vegetable and other dye techniques.
